Jury duty at a location difficult to access without a vehicle is discriminatory.
Tell others why you hated this place? COURT. Thats why. (Oh and the DA is a DICK!)
They are really efficient and knowledgeable. I really appreciate this as a free service. I find them to be much better than Santa Clara County.
This place sucks. If you come from Berkeley then you will go through morning traffic. Using public transportation requires Bart AND bus. There are free street parking, paid parking garage and meter parking. You get validation for $1 to $3. The jury assembly room is small and have no table for computer users. No cafeteria or much of food choices like the court in Oakland. It's gonna be a long day here...since it's my first time here, for a benefit of a doubt, I give two stars.
It has been impossible to speak to a court staff person on the phone. I've called on different days of the week, at different times and after waiting on hold a prompt comes up and says no one is available and to call back. Is there anyone answering the phone at the Hayward Hall of Justice? HELP!
