Acqua E' Farina is in the Green Shutter building where Rue d' Main used to be - in downtown Hayward. The food is authentic and the quality is fantastic. They offer a broad menu along with daily specials. Great appetizers, too. My wife had chicken pesto pasta, and I had the special - Seafood pasta.
If you are on a diet, this place maybe right for you because you will get very little food for the price. I finished a 3 course meal and felt hungry. The chicken had almost no taste, if they put some salt on it, then it would have tasted a lot better; however, it was cooked well and was not dried. On another plate, the deep fried fish also had no taste, but rice that came with this plate had good flavor. Surprisingly, desert was very good, not overly sweet. Service was good, server was very nice. However, server did not ask if I wanted water refills. I will not be back because of the taste of the food was mediocre.
“Phat burgers”
Cute, nice and tasty. It was a quiet day and the server was friendly and nice :) Mac n cheese was tasty but a little greasy (but that's cheese for you..) I think it is definitely a place to check out.
Its hard to find good fat burgers around but at Val's you can. Good oldies type music. Friendly staff and all-round a pleasant place to eat with family, friends, or solo . everyone talks to each other so even if you go by your self you won't feel like it.
I just googled nice restaurants and it popped up. We were not disappointed. It was the perfect second date for us. The restaurant is deceptively large, with its multiple rooms. The upper tier was loud with conversation, so we opted for the thruway. The staff is friendly, even familiar while maintaining a classy balance of formality.
